Centralized flow collection platform for NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX, cFlowd,
      jFlow, Flexible NetFlow, and SNMP

    Network Performance Appliance

The Network Performance Appliance integrates with Visual Performance Manager and uses NetFlow data collected from the routers already deployed throughout your infrastructure.

The Network Performance Appliance uses the analytics from NetFlow to expand the breadth, depth and coverage of Visual Performance Manager by providing visibility into network flows. These views provide in-depth LAN/WAN and application troubleshooting, trend analysis, and capacity planning. The Appliance is offered in both a hardened Linux-based appliance and vAppliance.

    Key Capabilities -

    • Traffic Analysis - Traffic Analysis is only as good as the data provided.  That's why the Network Performance Appliance allows you to collect all the flows, all the time.
    • Application and Site Based Workflows - Quickly use the combined reporting of application and network performance to gain clear visibility into how applications are being consumed, and what other data types may be impairing user experience on a per site basis.
    • Access To All Raw Data - The Network performance Appliance, when combined with VPM Connex, allows the user access to our database through an optimized mechanism used to create virtually any report.  This can be useful for in-depth capacity planning efforts, as well as network use expense management.

In this diagram you can see the deployment location of the Network Performance Appliance in relation to NetFlow exportable devices, which are highlighted above (click to view larger).

Visual Performance Manager provides a wealth of reporting options designed for the needs of various system users from the help desk to the line of business owner.

The system allows users to obtain, "on the fly" digital reports, dozens of “off the shelf” templates, or, users can utilize a highly flexible report creation wizard. Integration with excel and third party ITSM systems, provides even more reporting breadth. If you need to see it, we can report on it!
