With the increase of virtualization in data centers and Virtualized Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) projects, higher volumes of bandwidth-intensive applications are being delivered over the enterprise more frequently. Gartner, Inc., expects the number of virtual desktops worldwide to increase from 500,000 in 2009 to 66 million in 20141.
