COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Jan. 12, 2012 – Visual Network Systems, a leading provider of application and network performance management solutions for IT organizations, today announced the availability of its Visual Performance Manager (VPM) Xpress10G a single appliance solution for high-density application and network performance management.

With the increase of virtualization in data centers and Virtualized Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) projects, higher volumes of bandwidth-intensive applications are being delivered over the enterprise more frequently. Gartner, Inc., expects the number of virtual desktops worldwide to increase from 500,000 in 2009 to 66 million in 20141. In order for IT organizations to deliver the same or better service levels, they need to migrate to higher speed 10G networks. Visual Network Systems has adapted its scalable VPM Xpress solution to the 10G environment for IT organizations to manage their application services delivery as bandwidths are pushed under the mass flow of virtualized information.

VPM Xpress 10G is a unified system providing end-to-end performance visibility into applications being delivered across cloud, carrier and enterprise networks while managing overall service quality, improving visibility and quickly isolating the root cause of performance issues reducing the time to troubleshoot within data centers or branch offices. The product is designed to simplify the deployment, configuration and performance troubleshooting workflow while providing critical information for in-depth problem triage as well as incident and problem management.

“Currently, many organizations who have the need for APM products are not deploying these solutions due to resources required for deploying and managing many traditional APM products,” said Bojan Simic, president and principal analyst, TRAC Research. “We expect that in 2012 many APM vendors will make changes to deployment methods of their solutions, as well as pricing and packaging models, to make them more appealing to the other 99 percent of organizations that could benefit from APM technologies.”

“VPM Xpress 10G addresses organizations’ needs and requirements as they expand their virtualization projects,” said Daryle DeBalski, vice president and general manager, Visual Network Systems. “This solution will provide capabilities for IT organizations to support high density applications and networks and to deliver expected service levels to the end users.”
